Happy 2019 everyone! I am super duper late blogging these little gems from our Autumn Minishoots back in October last year! I’ve been so lucky the past two years that the weather in October has just been perfect for hours on end of shooting, we did have one rainy day this time that we just rescheduled for the following week, which was glorious! Nothing quite beats that low golden sun and dusky light that comes with the Autumn, and throw in some fallen leaves, a stunning view of The Cotswolds and a forest backdrop and I’m in family photoshoot heaven!
Every shoot was wonderful, I love getting to know people and trying to capture them and their children exactly as they are, so they recognise the people in the photos (with no forced smiles!). The are around Nibley Monument is just perfect for short and sweet shoots like this because it has everything, is has the open field, the stunning panoramic views, various little pockets of grass and trees and rocks and then the ‘proper’ woodland with incredible trees (and even a rope swing!). I am hoping to do another day of minishoots locally in March/April this year but it will be weather dependent so will decide nearer the time, but it would be lovely to do another series of shoots with the trees in bloom and the bluebells carpeting the forest floor!
Thank you so much to everyone who got involved this year, I hope you love your photos as much as I do, it was great working with every one of you!
