Around a year ago, I had the absolute privilege of photographing beautiful twin babies, Finn and Sophie. I recall going on about them for quite some time because a) OMG look at them, b) they were the BEST newborns to photograph ever – just an absolute dream and c) I mean…again, look at them….twin perfection. So when their (equally beautiful) mum, Sarah, asked if I would photograph their first birthday I was prettttty happy. I was so excited to see them all again!
This is the kind of shoot I utterly adore. A group of really relaxed, happy people (including four seriously cute and highly entertaining kids), in a gorgeous ‘at home’ backdrop, perfect weather for a photoshoot and loads of amazing moments. As an outsider, it was a really wonderful celebration of these two gorgeous little humans and what must have presumably been a pretty hard, yet incredibly life affirming, year for parents Peter and Sarah. (I am in constant awe of parents of twins, I really don’t know how they do it!)
It was so lovely to see the twins again! To see the little characters they’re turning into and watch them on the move and listen to them babble a bit. And to meet their equally gorgeous cousins who both had me in stitches! A truly enjoyable afternoon which I really hope I captured authentically!
