Ahh I’ve been so excited to share this wedding! Marie and Tolo, and their gorgeous little boy Ivor, were an absolute dream to work with. They got married over the Easter weekend and the weather was incredible, I don’t think any of us expected such a gorgeous sunny day.
The wedding was held at Leigh Court, but I started the day with Marie at home in Portishead. Her dress was absolutely perfect and she looked utterly incredible, its always such an amazing moment when the bride gets into her dress, like the day suddenly becomes very real. I then whizzed over to see Tolo and the groomsmen getting ready before we all headed over to Leigh Court.
This was my first time photographing a wedding at Leigh Court and it didn’t disappoint, the ceremony room with the huge staircase is really gorgeous. It was really sweet to see Tolo watching Marie as she descended the stairs, before she got to walk down the aisle, his face full of awe. The ceremony was really moving, (although there as a big laugh when the celebrant called Tolo by the wrong name!) and afterwards everyone went outside to enjoy the unexpectedly sunny March weather.
I managed to get two bride and groom sessions into the day, one with Marie and Tolo which was just perfect, they were amazing on camera, and another in the golden light of the evening with Ivor as well which I absolutely loved! They’re some of my favourite images of the day, just the three of them being themselves in that beautiful dusky light.
It was a really wonderful day, I know I was buzzing when I left so I can only imagine how long Marie and Tolo were on cloud nine for! Thank you so much for choosing me, guys, it was such an honour.
